H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang’ata today welcomed officials from the Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman), led by Vice Chairperson Dorothy Kimengech, for a consultative meeting at the County Headquarters in Murang’a Town.

The discussions focused on the need for an Access to Information Policy at the county level and the establishment of a Grievance Redress Mechanism Policy. These initiatives aim to enhance service delivery by ensuring efficient resolution of public complaints.

Murang’a County officials reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the commission through capacity building and the development of a comprehensive complaint-handling policy.

The commissioners commended the Murang’a County Government for its continued excellence in service delivery. Notably, the county received the Huduma Ugatuzi Award from the Ombudsman’s office in November 2023 for its digitization of services, which significantly boosted own-source revenue.
