Launch of a State of the Art Physiotherapy &Occupational therapy Center as well as a new in-Patient block at Kigumo Level 4 Hospital.

H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang’ata, alongside Murang’a County officials, launched a state-of-the-art physiotherapy and occupational therapy centre to support individuals with physical illnesses and disabilities. This facility will enhance recovery through specialized medical treatment and exercises.
For the first time, occupational therapy services will also be available, helping patients recover from and manage different ailments.
A newly constructed fully equipped in-patient block was also unveiled—marking a historic milestone, as the hospital has lacked such services since its establishment in 1961.
To further empower people living with disabilities, the County Government distributed wheelchairs and assistive devices, easing mobility and improving their quality of life.
This initiative reinforces Murang’a County’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring all residents can lead dignified and fulfilling lives.
