H.E Governor Kang’ata has Today launched Murang’a County Government ‘University Admission Scholarship’ for Murang’a County Secondary School Day School Students who qualify to join University.Students who did their KCSE Exams in 2021 and qualified for University Admission will be the first beneficiaries of this University Admission Scholarship Program. 80 Students from Gatanga and Ithanga Sub-counties have Today become the very First Beneficiaries of this Scholarship.

The Governor has issued Cheques Worth Ksh.10,000 to the Parents of each Student from these 2 Sub-Counties of Murang’a who converged at Ithanga and Ndakaini Secondary Schoools; the best performing Secondary Schools in Gatanga Constituency.The Best Teachers in these Two Schools were also recognized and Awarded.Students from the other remaining Sub-Counties of Murang’a will receive their Cheques in the next few Days.

Governor Kang’ata has also promised to start an Internship Program to offer Attachment and Internship to University Students from Murang’a at the County Government of Murang’a. This he said is will be aimed at giving them a Chance to learn and get relevant Skills/Experience in Professional Work ahead of their Graduation.

The Governor has also promised to start another Admission Scholarship for the Top 3 KCPE Students from every Primary School in Murang’a County ahead of their Admission to High School. December 2022 KCPE Students will be the first Beneficiaries of this Scholarship.

A Porridge Feeding Program for all Kids in ECDE-Nursery School Centers under Murang’a County Government is also coming up.Gatanga MP Hon.Edward Muriu, Murang’a County Women Representative Hon.Betty Maina, Murang’a MCA’s led by their Assembly Majority Leader Hon.Kibe Wasary,Ithanga Ward MCA Hon.Ndunda Makau,Kariara Ward MCA Hon.Gichobe Mbatia among other Leaders and Stakeholders accompanied the Governor Today.
