The County Government of Murang’a signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Social Health Authority (SHA)
The County Government of Murang’a has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to provide comprehensive health coverage for 31,416 indigent and vulnerable households.
Through the Kang’ataCare Programme, these households will receive fully sponsored health insurance coverage for one year, from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025. This partnership is a major stride toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and ensuring no resident faces financial hardship when accessing healthcare.

Healthcare Innovations:
To further enhance access, the County has introduced 38 telemedicine centres, enabling patients to consult doctors online. These centres are equipped with advanced medical tools to ensure residents receive high-quality care, even in remote areas.
