Murang’a Farmers and Agricultural partners in a training organized by the County Government and NAVCDP.
H.E Dr.Irungu Kang’ata joined Murang’a Farmers and Agricultural partners in a training organized by the County Government in partnership with National Agricultural Value Chains Development Project ( NAVCDP).
The training brought together farmers and representatives of Co-operatives from various value chains including Milk, Mango, Avocado and Coffee.This is in an aim to strengthen linkages between partners to enhance productivity.
Farmers were engaged in discussions on good Agricultural practices to enable them increase the quality and amount of production.They also considered alternative sources of farming and environment concerns by encouraging climate Smart farming.
Murang’a County Government has continued to empower farmers through such training and impactful projects like Inua Mkulima and distribution of quality seeds and fertilizers which was recently done.This is in a move towards commercial farming to increase farmers income.
He also held a meeting with FLLoCA officials where they discussed various ways to mitigate climate change in our County.

Mary Magochi, Chief Officer Environment Bridget Wairimu and other County Officials.
