Issuance of Inua Mkulima Program Cards
The Governor Dr. Irungu Kang’ata activated the Inua Mkulima Subsidy Program in an exercise that saw the issuance of the Inua Mkulima cards across the county. Speaking at Kahuro stadium in Mugoiri Ward, the Governor highlighted the card’s benefits where farmers can redeem foodstuffs and farm inputs at designated shopping outlets. By October this year, farmers will also be able to pay school fees and pay hospital bills using the card. Farmers turned out in large numbers to collect their cards at various points in all subcounties.
