Consultative Meeting Between Murang’a County Government and the National Government
Murang’a County Government today held a consultative meeting with representatives from the National Government at the county headquarters. The governor H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang’ata led the meeting together with the county commissioner and the Murang’a County Police Commandant. In the meeting, the governor sought the national government’s support in the sensitization and mobilization of the public in joining the county government’s flagship projects namely, Kang’ata Care, the Uji Program and also in the provision of security during public participation meetings involving land issues. On his part, the county commissioner declared his support towards the success of the county government projects while the Police Commandant guaranteed that he would provide security personnel whenever they are needed. This is especially in reference to the securing of the land surrendered by Del Monte fruit processing company in Murang’a South and the Mango Collection Program. The meeting was the first of its kind and set the platform for the collaboration of the county government and the national government for the benefit of Murang’a County residents.
